Content management system to allow subsidiaries worldwide to share their marketing plans and MS Corporation to manage about 2.5 billion of marketing budgets. Each subsidiary had their own application; we needed one solution to replace them all. This was tried before with no success: the operational steps involved in using prior solutions were too expensive and benefits were not clear, thus not motivating the users. The proposed online tool looked as a simple file management system with a UI similar to Windows Explorer, hiding in the background the process of associating tags to documents posted in the content management system. This involved creating an organized taxonomy approved by the field. The online collaboration tool got 100% of adoption, and excellent feedback from the users.
